Toolkit for Kentico installation includes two modules.
The first module is the Toolkit module where you access all the functionality of the Toolkit’s extensions. You only need to install this on one Kentico site/server. The instructions in this section walk you through installation of the Toolkit module.
The second module is the Agent module. You may install the Toolkit Agent module on any Kentico site which you want to connect to the Toolkit module. If you have already installed the Toolkit module, and you now need to install an Agent, go to the Create a Site instructions.
We recommend installing Toolkit on a development server, or if you are a partner that manages multiple projects, you might want to install it on a shared, centralized, intranet-like site.
At this time, Toolkit can be installed on Kentico 12.0, 11.0, 10.0, 9.0 and 8.2.
The Agent can actually be installed on Kentico 12.0, 11.0, 10.0, 9.0, 8.2, 8.1 and 8.0.
If that doesn't work for you, let us know.
This installation process adds files to the bin directory, which will cause a recompile. You should only run this on a development site or during a maintenance window on production.
